9/2 - Day of chores

Today was not one to blog about but we did get a lot done. First order of business was to go to BestBuy to get a new radio for the truck. We quickly accomplished that task with an installation appointment for 3:30, and headed to Sam's Club. It was the first Sam's we've found in a long time. They didn't have exactly what we get at Sam's at home but they did have salmon burgers which turned out to be excellent.

Once back at the RV we worked lunch and laundry into the time we had before our BestBuy appointment.  Good laundromat.....extremely reasonable but with the usual too-hot dryers. No matter....it's over for this round.

The eastern view from I-15 heading back up to Ogden to BestBuy. All the views we've seen here so far are beautiful.....mountains everywhere.

And this view is at Ogden going north on I-15. Ogden is just north of Layton where we're staying. We got away from Layton just at the beginning of the base's rush hour. The traffic was really piling up although this picture doesn't show it.

Going east into Ogden shows how the town is spread over the valley with a little of it going up the hillsides. It doesn't matter what buildings and roads are at ground level, you've still got the mountains looming over the valleys. It's a really beautiful area.

BestBuy was great. We got our new radio installed and got tutored on how to work it (not that we can remember all those instructions which were given at mach speed). Fortunately, it has a real hard-copy manual, not an online manual which would be little help on the road. It even sounds better than our stock radio so we're very happy with it.

Tonight's sunset from the campground. It's great to have beautiful sunsets after not seeing any for some time.

Tomorrow we'll go into downtown Salt Lake City to visit some tourist spots. We're hoping that doing our SLC trips over the weekend will work better than dealing with weekday traffic.
